Mage Apprentice

Smth different this time! I did a full-day workshop recently with some lovely students at Event Horizon School. Half of the workshop I focused on portfolio reviews, and tips on using LinkedIn and optimizing the job hunting, and another half was purely photoshop -rendering design from lineart. I provided students with the lineart, and they were following me step by step.
I did showcase all my favorite techniques and tricks, but I didn't manage to finalize the artwork while on the zoom call with students (mostly lack of time - rendering is still time-consuming, even if you use all possible tricks. If you'd be interested, I can maybe record some other artwork from start to finish and make it into timelapse) I wanted to finish it off so the students can see where this lineart approach eventually can lead.

PS: I added some wands and some magic because it always makes images look better (was fun to imagine what kinds of schools of magic they can belong. fire magic school (🔥), chidori school (⚡🤣⚡), Psychokinesis? 😵 or... PLASMA MAGIC SCHOOL? Hahha... 🤣

PS2: majority of those who commented on this artwork across social media, pointed out that the second version is their favourite :D I think it's because the spooky barred owl. some of you guys assumed the owl is evil 🦉. I'm not sure it is even an owl ;)
